Aron Shapiro is a Senior Vice President and Partner in Ora’s Asset Development & Partnering group. He is currently responsible for Ora’s investment, strategic partnering and risk sharing/sweat equity activities to build a robust and therapeutically broad pipeline of assets that provide near and long term ROI. In this role he performs diligence and evaluation of new investment opportunities, including time/cost of development, likelihood of success, target validity, unmet medical need, overall market, competitive pipeline and overall technical feasibility and is responsible for negotiating terms, licenses and agreements for new investments. Prior to moving to the Asset Development & Partnering group, Aron was responsible for establishing and leading clinical regulatory strategy and clinical operations for Ora’s service business in retina, glaucoma, inflammation, infection and presbyopia, and had corporate responsibility for Ora’s business development and international growth strategy.
