Pia Olson is a strategic human resources leader with more than 16 years of extensive experience in all human resources functions. She partners with executive leaders to help drive the strategic direction of the business. She thrives in continuous improvement environments where investments of time and resources are focused on human capital.
As Ora’s Chief Human Resource Officer, Pia is responsible for talent acquisition, compensation & benefits, performance management, employee relations, learning & development, organizational design, and the facilities function.
Prior to this, Pia held a number of leadership positions culminating in Director of Human Resources for Lantheus Medical Imaging. She coached the executive leadership team on people strategy to meet strategic business objectives, and led site-wide organizational design, talent assessment, and succession planning activities, resulting in an improved culture of learning and development. Pia led efforts with the Chief Medical Officer to partner with the American Heart Association, aligning community efforts with the company’s medical mission. She also oversaw employee relations, performance management, learning & development, and recruiting for more than 500 employees in the U.S., Puerto Rico and Canada.
At Pfizer (formerly Wyeth & Genetics Institute), Pia provided HR Business Partner support to as many as 650 employees across the enterprise, including in Quality, Manufacturing, Research & Development, Process & Product Development, IT, Finance & Pre-Clinical, with particular expertise in a multi-shift, 24/7 biologics manufacturing facility. She served as the Pfizer Consultant with the Massachusetts Biotech Council to create workforce development strategies to train citizens for state manufacturing jobs. She was also Program Director for six years of the Wyeth Andover/Lawrence School Program, leading a team of Pfizer scientist volunteers in an early morning hands-on science enrichment program for 4th and 5th graders.
Pia earned a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from College of the Holy Cross in Massachusetts.
